Download Limits

I just wanted to write a little blog post about embroidery design download limits and why they exist.  A download limit is put in place to prevent illegal sharing of designs by way of sharing links.  It is one small step a creator of digital content can take do to minimize the harm of content sharing (and thereby reducing their rightful income from their product).

Bunnycup Embroidery does, at this time, implement download limits, but this is not to prevent you from accessing your designs.  Once you reach the limit and try to download again, a form pops up where you can request more downloads.  We are happy to add downloads to an order time and again, but by doing this, it allows us to investigate the download history before downloads occur.  If it all looks okay, we simply add downloads time and again as and when you require them.  You never need to purchase a design again just because you reach the limit.

We just typically review the download history to ensure there is no unusual activity such as downloading in multiple countries or states, and if need be investigate the location of the IPs addresses downloading.  If need be, we will ask you about the history before adding more downloads.

So please never be in fear of reaching your download limit, we want you to access your embroidery designs and never expect you to purchase an embroidery design more than once for your own use.  If you do reach your limit, simply try to download again, fill in the request form and ask for more.  Or of course you can also email us!
